Dear visitors,
Promotion of the book "Europe for your thoughts" took place in the premises of "Jovan Jovanovic Zmaj" grammar school in Novi Sad on the 9th March 2012. Here you can finally see the photos from this event!
Dragi posetioci sajta,
The event was successfully moderated by Darko Soldat, member of our project team. The introductory speeches were held by Branka Panić, representative of the European Fund for the Balkans, who introduced the numerous audience with the Southeast Europe and EU Programme, and Darija Marić, the project group coordinator, who described the "Europe for your thoughts" project as an ambitious endeavor of 6 young people who wanted (and eventually suceeded) to stimulate young people into creative thinking about the the European culture and values. After that, Luca Kadar, Head of Information, Communication and Press, EU Delegation in Serbia shared with nearly 170 people in the audience her impressions of the project and her strong support to the involvement of young people in creating an European future for the region. Our special guest was Mirjana Bobic Mojsilovic, famous Serbian writer and artist , who also wrote an introduction for the book. She held a passionate speech, concluding with words: "Will the Europe be able to sing, like our kids sang about Europe?"
After Mirjana's performance, which had a very strong impact on the audience, mainly consisted of high school students and their professors, the time came for the winner of the first prize, Jovana Janjic, to be officially awarded and to read her story. That was the best way to conclude the official part of the event, but many guests stayed at the specially prepared cocktail afterwards and enjoyed an informal chat with our speakers and the project group members.
And here is the little piece of the atmosphere, captured on cammera:
